I’ve struggled with bipolar disorder for as long as I can remember. YOU have given me HOPE! I’m working on writing you my story but for now I thought you might like this. Feel free to use it on your website and/or Facebook.
We humans can do good things if/when we set our minds to it.

It’s time for a real conversation about depression.
Despite the title of my Salon piece (which I did not choose) - http://bit.ly/1j5acjE - and despite this comic….
I do think that self-help books have their place, and there are a couple I could even recommend such as The Happiness Trap.
A good day for the national conversation about depression.
THE DEPTHS is excerpted in Salon.
Release day. It’s been a long haul and now after months of waiting, The Depths is now officially out in bookstores, online, and as an ebook. This picture was taken at a Barnes and Noble in New Jersey.
Will this change the national conversation about depression? The next step is up to readers like you. Word of mouth is everything, so if you like the book, tell your friends, write reviews on Amazon, blog about it.
Coverage and reviews from “mainstream” media are also helpful. I’m excited this week to learn The Depths will be reviewed in the scientific journal, Nature, and in The Daily Beast. And I’ll be continuing the conversation on some radio programs as well. Much to do. Looking forward to what lies ahead.
